At the 14th International Architecture Biennale in Venice, 2014, Ytong is sponsoring the presentation of Tuncer Cakmakli from Istanbul. At the invitation of the GlobalArtAffairs Foundation (GAA), the Turkish planner will present three of his current designs at the Palazzo Bembo.

Ytong Supports Turkish Architect at the Biennale in Venice

At the 14th International Architecture Biennale in Venice, 2014, XELLA-Ytong is sponsoring the presentation of Tuncer Cakmakli from Istanbul. At the invitation of the GlobalArtAffairs Foundation (GAA), the Turkish planner will present three of his current designs at the Palazzo Bembo. 

 “Time – Space – Existence”. He interprets the exhibition’s theme as a framework for the central spheres of life: trade, habitat and faith. The trade sphere is represented by the elliptical architecture of a vegetable and fish market in Bursa. The high vaulted spaces of the futuristic structure are reminiscent of the traditional bazaar, and are connected to the ancient cultural traditions of Central Asia both symbolically and in function. The sphere of habitat is represented by a single-family home, which is currently being built in Baden Württemberg. The house is equipped with a completely independent energy system based entirely on the use of solar energy. The subject of faith is represented by the design of a mosque, a project that is still waiting for a principal, and which, even prior to its realization, has garnered multiple international architectural awards as an example of a new, modified spatial experience for faith and sermons.
